Mondays bring a steady stream of devotees throughout the day, especially through Shravan.
A short additional pooja is usually held in the evening, timed to the traditional pradosh kaal just after sunset.
The temple stays open through the night, with abhishekam repeated across the four praharas.
Modest, traditional clothing is preferred. Footwear stays outside, at the stand near the entrance.
Bel patra, milk, water, and flowers are the usual offerings, placed before the linga or handed to the priest during abhishekam.
The temple sits a few kilometres from Vindhyachal, off an unpaved road that can get waterlogged during the monsoon. Plan accordingly, especially if visiting during the rains or for the 21 February Bhandara.
A Dharamshala on the temple grounds offers a place to stay for visiting devotees.
